The objective of The Michigan Advocate is to provide relevant and timely
information to professionals working with crime victims. As such, we welcome ideas, articles,
and suggestions from our readership. The stories of survivors can both inform and inspire,
and, therefore, we also welcome articles written by survivors of crime. If you work with a
survivor who would like to share her or his story, or if you would like to contribute an
article, suggest a topic, or comment on the newsletter or website, we encourage you to
